courses

A variety of courses are available (see below). You can join an advertised class or organise a group of friends and come on a course specifically for you.

The studio is usually open at weekends and Mondays, but other dates can be arranged. It will accommodate four students; and vast arrays of different materials are available to experiment with. For larger projects, students will be advised as they choose and buy their own materials.

Decorative cold glass

Starting with glass cutting and looking at materials and design, make your own window decoration.

Duration: 1 day or three evenings.

Fused glass

Starting with glass cutting and looking at materials and design, make your own piece of fused glass. Your piece will be available a few days later after fusing in the kiln.

Duration: 1 day or three evenings.

Shaping glass

Following on from fusing glass, look at the different ways of shaping it and make a new piece of glass to be fused and slumped into a mould. Your piece will be available a few days later after fusing in the kiln.

Duration: 1 day or three evenings.

Moving on from earlier course experience

Build on the experience of previous courses by learning a new technique; for example: stained glass painting, to use on your own project.

Costs of courses:

£54 per day (10am – 4:30pm)

£20 per evening (7pm – 9pm)

Drinks will be provided.

Studio use

Use the studio to work on your own project. Note: Previous experience is required.
